Problem - how do i get it to memorize spells?

i have now got myself kiss assist and i have got a INI for my mage now i have some dumb questions because i am a little clueless
do i have to have the spells memed into my spell bar for the INI to work or will it load them for me?

It will do both. I would keep the main ones you use in your spell bar and define them in the ini file under the section below

[Spells]
Gem1=
Gem2=
Gem3=
Gem4=
Gem5=
Gem6=
Gem7=
Gem8=
Gem9=
Gem10=
Gem11=
Gem12=
Gem13=

It will also load the necessary spells you indicate in the buffs section, etc. when necessary or indicated by the ini file and then replace them with the default set as indicated above.

Edit - You can even use the info below in the same spells section to load the spellset. All you need to do is save the spellset in EQ with whatever name(s) you want and then use the two lines below in the same [Spells] section of the ini

LoadSpellSet=1
SpellSetName=nameyousaveditas
