Hello Again!

I have my KA up and running finally! (YAY ME!) It took a bit of digging in multiple places to get me that far but i learned a lot along the way. The one thing i haven't quite figured out, and have been unable to find so far, is how to setup a healer/support person outside of the primary group.

I have a 110 Shaman that i am using to over watch my KA group (WAR, CLR, 4 -Zerkers) but i haven't figured out how to get him to heal without being in the same group. If someone can link me instructions or a video on how to do that i would be grateful! :)

Thanks again!!

Howdy Torrax,

In the Kiss Info Heal Section you will see info about using X-target

You will assign whatever toons you want "watched" in your extended target in game by targetting them, and then right clicking a row on you xtarget window and selecting "current target"
1562356534289.png
[B]XTarHeal=[/B]
Turns on and off XTarget Healing. Is used in conjunction with XTarHealList, and has 3 options. 0=off (Heal Group Only), 1=on (Heal Group and XTargets), and 2=on (Heal XTargets only). Note: Will Heal Self in all modes.

Code:
[B]XTarHealList[/B] =
all=Use all XTarget slots. To only use a specific XTarget slot set equal to the slot number, to use multiple XTarget slots separate slot numbers using | character. Example: XTarHealList=2|5|6|10|11 will use XTargets 2, 5, 6, 10, and 11 to check for healing. [I]It is not recommended to use Xtarget slot 1, KissAssist has some features that expect Xtarget1 to be auto-hater.[/I]
XTargets on this list will be checked for rezzing. Note: You should have all your XTargets setup before starting Kissassist, and if you add or remove entries to your XTarget window, you will need to restart kissassist.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the delay but it was a busy weekend.

@Sicprofundus - I am not sure i'm following you on "You will assign whatever toons you want "watched" in your extended target in game by targetting them, and then right clicking a row on you xtarget window and selecting "current target". I do not have an xtarget window to right click on. What am i missing, failed to do, or just plain doing wrong? lol

@bb4 - If works allows me enough time today i will try and take a look at it. Busy day so far =(

Thanks for all your help guys!! Sorry if i don't quite get this yet.

Thanks!
Torrax

I'm not sure of a default key to open Xtarget window, but you can set one in the Options (alt-O) -> UI -> Extended Target window toggle.

Once you have it open, the slots will be default "Auto" which fill with mobs that have you on aggro. But you can target a toon you want to heal, then go to Xtarget slot two and right-click to get a pop-up of options. Select "current target" and it will put that toon permanently in slot 2 of you xtarget window. Repeat for other toons you want to watch for heals, for however many slots you want. It's recommended to leave slot 1 on Auto though, as some KA functions will check that to see if you have aggro.

Then turn on these options in your Sham KA ini (assuming you've set the six toons to slots 2-7):
Code:
[Heals]
XTarHeal=1
XTarHealList=2|3|4|5|6|7

@eqtrader74 - CLICK!! Now i got it!! Oh hell, i feel like a moron after it being that easy, lol. It's working except for some reason my Shaman wants to keep rebuffing himself with Talisman of the Wulthan every 10 seconds even though he has an hour+ left on the buff.

Update: The Shaman isn't healing for some reason. Here is the healing section of his ini file. Maybe someone can point out where i have borked this up.

Code:
Buffs1=Talisman of the Wulthan|dual|Wulthan Focusing
KA Buffs by default look for the exact name of what you cast. Some combo buffs or AA will give buffs with different names, but KA doesn't innately know that. So KA casts Talisman, looks in your buffs for "Talisman of the Wulthan", does not see it so says "I need to recast." -> loop.

Dual tells KA cast the first buff, but check for the second name in the buff window.

Check out the link in Sicpro's reply above. That KA settings & faq page is super useful for getting your ini setup the first few times.

That heal section looks correct for a quick glance. Does the shammy heal himself if you canni?

No, he does not heal himself or anyone else for that matter.

The Talisman of the Wulthan|dual|Wulthan Focusing fixed the buff issue, thanks a ton!!

Is it Cloud of Renewal that's not casting? I think KA considers that a "group heal" so it may not use it on xtargets, only on the healers own group. KA heals has a certain logic for group heals where the health % is the average of the group.

You may just want to run Cloud as a MA thing in DPS. So it casts it every fight on the MA.
Code:
[DPS]
DPS4=Cloud of Renewal|100|MA

If you want to be efficient, you can check yourself for the Cloud buff, since it will cast on the MA's group and you.
Code:
[DPS]
DPS4=Cloud of Renewal|100|MA|cond4

[KConditions]
Cond4=!${Me.Song[Cloud of Renewal].ID}

Or you could try the single target HoT instead of Cloud. That should cast on individual Xtarget's as needed:
Code:
Heals6=Halcyon Billow|90

You will assign whatever toons you want "watched" in your extended target in game by targetting them, and then right clicking a row on you xtarget window and selecting "current target"

That did it! I love that spell since i run with 3 Beserkers who are constantly pulling aggro off the tank for a short period of time.

Thanks for all the help! It is greatly appreciated!!

Target the player to be healed and then use the "Current Target" setting on the extended target window. Do this for each player not in your group, each on a different xtar slot.
