Good Morning RG Community, I have been messing around with my Cleric ini and really trying to get a Raid ini set up for myself. For some reason my Targeted AE Heal keeps saying. ( Splash Spell will not land on target. Skipping I really want this to be my primary cast since it will hit everyone in raid I do have it on my key bindings but i would like to be able to look away for a sec and have kiss still cast it . Any Suggestions would be much appreciate it

Heals13=NULLRG question.png

It technically means that mq2 does not believe you have lint of sight to the point where you are casting the splash heal, this might be true or not, but i found that line of sight from eq, and what mq2 thinks, is not always 100% the same, or as the below snippet mentions maybe you out of range for the cast?

INI:
- Added a new member to the Spawn TLO: CanSplashLand, it returns true or false
 usage: /echo ${Target.CanSplashLand}
 I suggest you use this tlo member in your macros BEFORE you try to cast a splashspell
 there is no point in casting it if it wont land due to a line of sight problem.
 NOTE! This check is ONLY for line of sight to the targetindicator (red/green circle)
 its NOT a range check, you need to check range yourself like for every other spell
 before you cast it...

Not sure were to put this or anything I tried Heals2= /echo ${Target.CanSplashLand} Restoring Splash|99|Ma

I did join back in 2007 but I really have only truly been using RG the last few months I don't know much about programing I am a hardware guy but I am learning I am all kinds of confused lol
but as far as line of sight and distance when casted he is only 1.5 to 20 away from me and it has a range of 127 I even tried making it a Me at 100% and wouldn't ever cast Here is my full ini. Suggestions would be much appreciated

I know this is asking about Splash, but since you mention that this is for a cleric raid setup, I'd like to throw out one bit of advice. Do *not* prioritize splash. I know you think it's nice that it hits everyone nearby, but the clerics job is to keep tanks alive. The shaman's job is to keep everyone else alive with splash/rain heals. Instead, prioritize your top two Remedy spells by setting their HP threshold to |95. Then put all the knights and warriors in the raid on an xtarget slot and enable xtarget healing. You will heal for more HP and it will be concentrated onto the characters that are taking the most damage. Your raid shaman should be casting the AOE heals to keep the DPS players alive through dots and AEs since their Squall line is better then cleric splash anyways.

Many_Whelps , That is what I have been doing but I was told I need to cast splash I never had it on my cast list and during a raid fight last night I did 3 mill less in heals on parse lol and they want me to cast splash to help with groups heals top cleric casted that spell over 200 times in the fight so i figured i would toss it into my rotation not really top priority but if I can cast at least 200 - 300 per raid fight.

That's a very different strategy compared to what most guilds in EQ do.

My previous comment was based on what we've seen from newer clerics joining our raid. They're used to the group game where you can get away with just casually casting group heals and keep everyone alive. Then they come out to raid and just assume they can use the same strategy. Splash is great for those times that a big dot or aoe is hitting the entire raid, and you know it's coming, but I would never play my cleric with that as the main spell in the lineup.

I mained a raid cleric for several years and I had splash on my list and messed around with it some. The problem I have with whoever told you to start splashing to up your numbers is IMO completely wrong. Playing a healer is not about who can heal the most but about who can heal when it matters. So what if you heal 10 million more if you healed people that really didn't need heals. I can't imagine using MQ2 on a raid with other people. Sure I can see a huge benefit to managing your own box raid, but where is the fun in playing a toon on a raid and making a program do the work for you?

The key to being a good raid healer is knowing who you are healing and what they are capable of doing. ie: healing a warrior that is slightly under geared is going to require more and faster heals than one that is geared. It will take a while to learn your tanks abilities but once you do the world of easy healing will open up to you.

If you are a cleric that is helping heal the "dps" groups then you are either cleric heavy on the raid or shm/druid light in which case you better load a splash, but you better check the dps parses and if you see shm or druid anywhere on that list you need to let their groups die and let them explain why they can't keep their group healed. (a rez always takes less mana than a heal).

I agree i just wanted to at least have it cast and it won't even cast at this point.
you are right about I shouldn't use the program for raid, but I have Narcolepsy and I use the program to make up for me either passing out or if I daze off uncontrollably I just want to be the best cleric I can I feel if the program can help cast a few extra spells while I spam my key binds what will it hurt I just would like to figure out how to get this spell line to work and it is kind of frustrating. worst case if no one can help then i will just add it to key binds and just keep clicking it.

/echo ${Target.CanSplashLand}

just coy paste this by itself into the mq2 chat window ,when it says it cant cast it, it should display either true of false.

shrink and levi to get off the ground and make the z axis lessy our enemey

oh perfect thank you i tried a new mission and noticed i had lev on and spell worked that was weird

eq has a lot of issues with z axis detection, because sometimes a mobs hitbox or model is under the floors z axis, and then it think we dont got line of sight, so sometimes levitating or having a vantage point allows usto stillsee that spot, and get a line of sight.
