hi has anyone ever had a problem where it wont stay attacking
i load it hit attack and it attacks one time then is off , im trying to raise skills with a mage pet in arena if that helps
also tried to do /melee save to make a ini file but that didint work either, im running vista

/melee attack

or

/melee attack on

or

/melee attack=1

One of those should work

Vista makes alot of the standard locations read only. I am guessing you can't do an .ini save because the folder is read only. I started putting my whole mq folder in documents so I didn't have to change it (or forget to) everytime I updated.

Your other problem might be from that also as it cannot change the setting to true if it cannot write to it.

Maybe no help, but might be something to look at. Good luck.

Its just the way mq2melee compiled in order it to works on other players some value have to be changed before you compile it otherwises its only works on npc's

Damn, forgot. Fixing it now. Will have to DL the .dll Separate til next release.

May take a little longer than I thought. It appears the link is no longer relevant, as there isn't any PvP/Non-PvP call anymore and it's NPCs that are marked 0x000A now.

not to bring up a dead thread, im having this issue today... unload the plugin and everything works great... i load mq2melee can't attack a pet... suggestions?

Don't attack a pet??
Why you attacking pet anyway??

It's a great way to do skill-ups for melee skills without sacrificing dps during live-play times.

I believe MQ2Melee is set to not attack invalid targets, but that would be knowledge someone else would have.

I'm guessing your wanting to do this while waiting for pulls/spawns?

I believe EQBC still works when you /mqp on (if not, the rest here will be moot).

You could, using holys/downs or events, have one toon tell another to basically
when no mobs in camp/not in combat
1) Target pet
2) /stick on to pet
3) /mqp on
4) /attack on

Then when mobs in camp/in combat
1) /attack off
1) /mqp off
2) /stick off

just ideas....
