here is my Burn list for shaman
Rich (BB code):
[Burn]
BurnText=
BurnAllNamed=1
Burn1=Spirit Guardian|MA
Burn2=Fundament: Second Spire of Ancestors
Burn3=Ancestral Aid
Burn4=Dampen Resistance
Burn5=Crippling Spirit|Mob

It takes forever for it to cycle through these, named gets to 60% and shaman hasn't healed or slowed yet. Looking at Sub Event_Burn I see two unconditional "/delay 5"

Am I using burn incorrectly? I kind of wish in the dps section, I could just put "burn" instead of %hp to activate burn ability. And have burn be a state instead of an event.

Yes, there's like a full second pause for each item in the burn section, which is much different behavior than the dps section, which is cranking it nonstop.

It means when I hit my burn button, my shaman is spending about 5 of the next 8 seconds doing nothing. This seems just very different behavior than when I list things in the dps section.

The two seperate /delay 5 statements in the Event_Burn sub add no great addition to the burn event. Its simple calls of the CastWhat sub for casting.

I don't really see this is a problem, and unless you have a specific issue, I have no option but to take this as a suggestion to look into the efficiency of the burn sub. And for clarification, the secondary /delay 5 is only within the condition of a successful macro call cast for casting it.

When I get a chance, I'll post logs of a burn, vs the same things in the dps section. May be a few days...

7 Seconds

1 Second of wasted Time for each AA Burn ability

Stepping back for a second, what are the downsides of making a burn a state and incorporating into the dps section? Kiss really cranks it in the dps section. And in my shaman example for instance, I'd like to cast slow before cripple.
