Hello I have been running into issues determining what gear is best for which toon. I run an INT caster group but is currently having trouble determining best-in-slot gear in regard to stat.

Is there anywhere on the internet that tells you the weighting of the stat in a given item?

For example for tanks, AC>STA, but what ratio?

The rule of thumb for me is to look at a full set of AC vs HP on current expansion gear to determine the ratio.

This is what the EQ developers deem the current ratio to be. Please note it fluctuates alot from 10 hp to 17hp, and sometimes it will be lower than a previous expansion.

As for hSta, I go by 1hSta =10hp for warriors, thats probably to conservative for most of you, but I use that value for all classes as a standard instead of having to determine it for each and every class. Because it does fluctuate by class.

What about INT casters? spell damage vs hINT?
So hInt won't do anything to increase the power of a spell the way spell damage does. hInt will increase your mana pool and mana regen. So it's useless to compare the two. You want both as high as you can get them.

There is no resource like you describe, ie something that breaks items down to a single value. But the way itemization has gone, it doesn't matter. For a given equipment slot in a given tier of gear, there are generally 3 or 4 items to choose from. Looking at the actual stat values, however, you will notice only minor variance (maybe +/-3 hstat, +/-30 h/m/e). I've come to the conclusion that it really doesn't matter a whole hell of a lot which variety you choose to equip, so long as you are moving up in gear tier (ie RoS t2 -> TBL t1). Yes, your int casters want high spell damage, but the difference between a 54 spell damage item and a 64 spell damage item is so small it's inconsequential.
