Fun Little Trick

I played a rogue but this will work universally for all classes. I think the guide is in here somewhere but I failed to find it so here goes.

If you want your char to wear leather/plate/cloth armor when he is another type all you have to do is obtain the type of armor you want your character to be in and an illusion that is not basic race (for example Skeleton, Werewolf, imp, evil eye...etc.)

So Say you wanted your rogue to be in a robe. You go into a race that can be displayed in robes (dark elf...gnome...etc). Once your in that illusion put on the robe. Now Click off the Illusion and Click your Non-Basic Illusion. Now Once your in non-basic illusion put on your regular breastplate. Now click off the illusion You'lll be displayed in a robe. The same goes for every class, a warrior can be in a robe, or cloth or what not.

This is basically a duplicate post of another guide on these forums somewhere but I coudln't find it. An additional bit of info for rogues, if you want to be displayed in plate armor. The mob in pohate an abhorrent drops armor that is plate for Rogues only, The woven shadow armor.

edit: also I noticed that if your in old models it won't display you as robe to other people unless you zone with the robe on and then repeat click non-basic, replace with regular chest...etc

i just put on robe, click AoN, replace my tunic, remove skelly illusion.
tada im in a robe to everyone else

yeah, but when you have old models on its not that simple. it doesn't update your clothes with all players.

yeah i posted this trick back when you could still use the stalwart caretaker to recharge items in ikkinz 4, uhm like jun last year i think

also works for weapons, like equip your 1hander/shield go into wolf form, equip an 2 hander, click off wolf form, and you have your 1h/shield combo and are actually weilding a 2hander
