ok i have no clue what i am doing here i did the basics with the guides being as i just started using mq2 a few hours ago and my box cleric/wizard are doing what they are supposed to be. my enchanter is even doing the mezes/tashing and buffing like he is supposed to....but the problem is....i dunno how to setup so he will charm a mob and buff it with a haste, does that go under pet or? i dunno what to do, i can get a mob charmed...but he wont cast the haste on it. and how do i send a charmed pet in on an assist target? here is my current setup

hey guys - enchanter ini file

is there anyone who could link me an enchanter file, not kissassist so i can pretty much keep people buffed, mez, and charm a mob + keep it charmed and buffed with haste, i can just mod it with what i have, and if you can walk me through it i would much appreciate it i just subbed yesterday the enchanter is the bread and butter of my group with charming and dpsing while charmed, oh also how do i make a ini file, that is not kiss assist, and if i have one of each, what happens between kiss assist and non kiss assist one, do i have to delete one or the other? or just different commands to trigger either or?
 
hey i thank you for it, i went through that thread and i even copied some of the files over into my ini file, but it did not work, how do i mod my ini file? or am i not allowed to add anything? what about making a completely manual ini file so i can make him charm? is that even a thing? sorry i have been spending a few hours at a time trying to figure something out, really need to get this enchnater to charm a pet, keep it charmed, buffed and send it in when tank brings back to camp
 
.ini files are for adjusting variables defined in a macro. If you want to change how kissassist operates beyond those variables, you'll need to edit kissassist.mac

Please note that we don't provide support for modified versions of kissassist, but we definitely encourage you to learn and explore!

For example, in the link ctaylor posted above, no_one modified kissassist.mac and renamed it kissplus.mac. Open up both files and compare, you can see where he changed it and perhaps get an idea for how to do some changes yourself.


If you're new to macro writing, I highly recommend starting with AutomateEverything's tutorial macro:

Look at the code. It's clean, it's simple, and it shows you how to do nearly everything you need for modern Everquest.

i want to thank you guys, i finally figured out, i had to replace the old file with the modded one, and it works fine, the only problem i cannot figure out now is i want boon of the garou cast on just the MA which is my warrior, and on my rogue, however when i have it typed out to melee it casts on himself, any suggestions? here is the way it looks atm

when i have boon of the garou setup for melee, he casts it on himself despite me having it set so he doesnt cast it on himself, is there something i am doing wrong or how do i rewrite it so it just goes on the tank (ma) and rogue, my others are a mage/wiz/ench/cleric so all casters, so melee should work right?

could be your problem. the extra | is not needed. and last i remember the melee tag doesnt include the MA even if it is a melee class. so remove the line above, and the other 2 lines(below) should work

and i would add a Me tag to jboots just in case...
