if this has been addressed somewhere else please direct me
i am having issues with following.
i just dont know how to get my toons to properly follow.
i see others doing it effortlessly and i have tried tweaking things and such and i just cant get follow to work
this is with the follow me button. and when that doesnt work sometimes the come to me button will work.
I know other settings in the ini file might be affecting it when KA is running, so how do these other guys i see move everyone and still have their other toons executing their combat macros ?

Goto your options ALT+O -> Second Tab -> Advanced under video options -> background FPS -> At least 30fps

I'd bet its currently set to 1 fps. Unlimited works too if your rig can handle it or 60 or what ever works for you, but you need above 25 to reliably follow with the adjustments it makes. If it's not just follow messing up and they're running back to where they started you need to look into kissassist's chase commands (Kiss help). Those are the common problems with following at least.

would any of these be an issue
CampRadius=30
CampRadiusExceed=400
ReturnToCamp=0
ChaseAssist=0
ChaseDistance=2

do camp settings mess up following while moving my group around ?
if so how do i negate that

If you want them to follow by default you have to use ChaseAssist=1.

If you want them to camp leave it as is and use the command /chaseon when you wanna move and /chaseoff when you want to camp again.

If you're using EQBCS you can make buttons on your character you run
On = /ho ChaseOn /bcg //chaseon
Off = /ho ChaseOff /bcg //chaseoff

ReturnToCamp is turned off when you issue the /chaseon command and ChaseOn is Turned off when you use the /camphere command. If your using MQ2EQBC or MQ2DanNet you can use the /makecamphere on ONE character in the group and the command will do what @wired420 suggested for you.

i am having issues with following.

I also had a great deal of difficulty with these issues early on.

I use the current beta of KISS 12. I also use the EQBCS chat server and not the newer DanNet system.

I have all of my assist characters set like this in their INI file...
ReturnToCamp=1
ChaseAssist=0
ChaseDistance=60
Then on my MAIN character that I use to "Drive" the group I have 3 hot buttons created...

chase_on.JPG

chase_off.JPG

camp_here.JPG

and then on my ASSIST characters I have one hotbutton created for when I want that character to be able to break free and move around when I'm running it directly...

break_follow.JPG

I hope this helps because I know it's frustrating sometimes when the various components seem to fight each other.
