EQMAC TEST COMPILE

eqmac can be done, but it will take a good amount of work. Essentially, we will have to rebuild a lot of the structs since many of them were vastly unknown from 2002, and have changed before they got reversed (CharInfo is a great example of this, it's radically different now). I worked on it for a bit, but didn't put a whole lot of effort into it since I just don't have the time to undertake something like that right now (though I may pick it back up in a couple weeks).

Since the PC client for EQMac is basically dead, a compile for that is essentially out of the question, unless someone wants to recode the whole project in obj-c in the process of finding the structs and reversing the mac client (basically it would have to be done from the ground up, with very little to go on) so it could be used on an actual mac (hackintosh). Test server compile I don't know, it would take a lot of continuous work.

Due to the fact that the EQMac Main Dev at Sony and the author of the PC hack are both letting it die we will not be pursuing a compile for the EQmac.

the lead for Al'Kabor has ceased all work on the server. i believe Hobart has washed his hands of the server. There has been no word on a client update for a few months now.

still looking for a working copy of this. i understand that the project was put on hold due to the rumor that Hobart was disabling the PC client. This has not happened and doesnt seem to be in the near future. If anyone would like to pick this up or point me in the right direction to work on it myself drop me a PM.

Actually devcat, the guy that would do this for us has shown little or no interest. This project would be a paid thing for him as well so its not looking good.

The lead dev has not washed his hands of Al Kabor. His time is being split with other projects right now. However that being said, dev support and client updates have been and always will be few and far between. A huge percentage of the EQ Mac population plays from PC now. The PC hack will likely remain a big part of AK in one form or another for some time to come.

TL;DR- Also willing to donate toward some work on this.

Also willing to pay handsomely for this type of compile. Even more for exclusive rights.
