*** Highlights ***
- A new window has been implemented that appears when you log in to the game. It is designed as a portal to display information pertinent to your character and the EQ community as a whole. This screen will be updated regularly with EverQuest information.
- The Luminescent and Incandescent Culling Vortexes available from Zebuxoruk in The Void can now transform a higher-level Luminessence or Incandessence into a lower-level version with the addition of one chronobine. They retain their prior use in removing essences from armor as well.

- Increased the drop rate on rogue poison components. The increase is 50% overall, and the drop rate from non-rogue humanoids was increased by 100x.

- A new Berserker discipline has been implemented. It is named Overpowering Frenzy and is available with other SoD disciplines.

just got off chat and a gm was telling people in general-chat that the new window is there to detect players using mq2 lol

What GM? I curious if this is just a scare tactic or legitmate.
In the past Mq2 was tolerated not openly but tolerated none the less as long as active hacks were avoided. Hence No warp ect on the mq2 devs side. This could prove to be interesting. If it does detect mq2 I am betting they will realize 60% of the population use it 40% dont, 20% of which dont know it exists. This is shear speculation based on my experience in 5k hrs of game play over 9 years, half of which mq didnt exist.
Gonna put my money on scare tactic. Though them developing a way to know if mq is running is not out of the question(considering the resources they have. Double edged sword: Kill MQ = Kill EQ

I am liking the stupid new EQ UI window as unlike hitting "P" & getting the semi useable browser, you can bring this window up & with in 4 mouse clicks be at Google without windowing my game.

Would be nice if we could just type wright in the address bar. or is there a way to do that that I don't know of
The new window its self is just the browser with a different homepage set it looks like

You can pretty much type a keyword or an address in Googles keysearch box. Google usually will translate it.

Thanks "DrmChld" I have been trying to find a way out of the SOE sites using the "p" partition window but got nowhere, it took a min @ most with the welcome screen, I hope this is useful to some of yeah. I have to get the browser set up without the limitations SOE put on it. has anyone ells looked at this, dose someone have a fully working in game web browser?
