My enchanter is not doing dps. It will debuff, pet will attack when it is supposed to. It follows the MA target. But won't cast dps spells for some reason. using Kissassist.

Ok. I left my group and just dps'd from the outside for a sec and ran KA. It worked. Reformed the group and it is working now. I posted this while playing real time and trying to diagnose this problem. Not sure if it is a bug or not. Seems the actual problem was weird, the tank was assigned as main tank and that stopped KA from dpsing mobs. Turn off main tank assignment and it works in group. Am pretty sure this is a bug. I forgot to assign the role of main tank once I reformed my group which is why it worked. Have been working this issue on the fly so been posting in diagnose mode. Sorry

There are few problems with this Ini. They may not be causing you an issue - but they WILL cause you erratic behavior.

So for starters:

1. CampRadius=100
Technically this is not wrong - but 100 is larger than most camps would ever use. Keep it tighter.

Imagine if at the end of the fight your Enc is 100 away from the Camp Spot. And your Healer is also 100 away from the camp spot - but in the other direction. They are both happy since they are only 100 away from your Tank - but they are effectively 200 away from each other.

Technically it is ok - but you will have less problems if you keep it smaller


No need to apologise for posting - But do remember Only a few of us a mind readers - the rest of us rely on you posting information WITH the problem. Ie Always post your .ini or other relevant information.


CampRadius30Any #Determines how far your characters interact based on your initial camp spot. This value should be less than MeleeDistance. See MeleeDistance in the Melee section for more information.

The default is 30 - I find this a bit too tight - I recommend 60

CampRadiusExceed400Any #Disables the ReturnToCamp setting upon moving large distances from your camp. (Summoned, warp, teleport etc)

1200 is also a HUGE number. Technically NOT an issue and I think you probably changed some of these settings as a knee jerk reaction to something bad that happened one day.

3. ReturnToCamp=30

KISSASSIST: Pick a number between 1 and 2
YOU: 30
KISSASSIST: :ohdear:

ReturnToCamp00/10=Off/1=On - Determines if your characters return to the camp after each fight. (Note: Set ChaseAssist to 0 if using this).


4. XTSlot=2

I cant find this setting in the documentation - but unless you are screwing about with Which XTarget Slot is Autohater etc - I would leave this as 1
Did you every notice the Enc only ever did stuff is multiple mobs on XTarget?
 
Just general comment on your lineup. You shouldn't be using mindslash or psychological appropriation as it will lower your DPS compared to not having them in the lineup. If you want max DPS with high mana usage go Mindreap and Throttling Grip with Mind Vortex for named (or if your mobs are lasting close to 1 minute long). If you want to conserve mana Mindreap, Throttling Grip, Mindrift.

You want the Mindreap spell to activate your Beguiler's Synergy for ADPS for any casters in your group, then Throttling grip will do more damage with the Nuke Component than Mindreap due to the way the DOT AAs work. Spamming throttling grip does take a decent amount of mana but if you group with any other heavy mana users (ranger, druid) you will still outlast them.

If you are interested I can share my ini with you, I mostly play my Enchanter manually but my ini is still pretty fine tuned.

I'd love to see that ini. I also main the chanter and manually play it.... but always interested in how others have setup also.

Just tossed this up this morning, did a quick check on existing level 120 ini's and I think there is enough differences to justify adding it to the resources. Let me know if you have any questions/comments.

As far as named vs trash - It's really zone/xpac dependant, sometimes you won't see any buffs on mobs and other times every mob is prebuffed. (The djinn guys in Jewel of Atiiki I remember had 3 or 4 buffs each that I would strip every time)

Now is it worth stripping buffs on trash? I can see the argument against it if your group is strong enough, but then again if it is a buff that slows your dps it's probably good to have it gone anyway.

I mostly drive my enchanter manually and if I pull something with a beneficial buff I strip without even looking at it. Early in the game mob buffs are a real pain so I just got in to the habit.

hey Behogies I had kinda same issue with my Bards kissassist ini he wouldn't mez and stop doing dps if there was more then 1 mob in camp looking at your ini you posted for me it was switch EQBC to 0 and Dannet to 1 cause i use Dannet instead of the EQBC and i changed the DPS from 2 to 1 in my ini and he runs normal again he mezzes he dps again something to look at and try and see if that works it did for me .

I checked it out over the course of a day killing in Mearatas and it is working as intended.

It will cast Eradicate Magic on any mob that is buffed to strip then and will not cast if they are not buffed.

Eradicate Magic is a fast casting AA so in my opinion it's worth having in there but I'd leave it up to personal preference.
