Guide - Easy type 18 augs and Gems to make them! (1 Viewer)

IF you're like me, you got your little bot crew running around with evolving items that eventually all have mutilple type 18 aug slots. It seems to me there are not many great options for these augs unless you can make them with JC skills.

So step 1. get your JC to 300. get trophy if u want. I didnt but that me.
Step 2. Farm named mobs; In TOB these are the best chances of having the Acolytes Focus of the Harbringer. You will need 3 voidstone crystals (at a minumum) per attempt. In my experience the best farm spot for these is in Hodstock hills, killing undead. Bonus if you have a rogue these mobs also drop those mats. Its a slowish camp but the fallen Knights in the northern part of the zone drop about 1 every 2 kills. A named spawns here too, which can drop the harbringer.
Step 3. throw away plat on cleaning solution to make your gems. Get ready to throw away more on failures.

Note the augs you make are lore, but the previous expansion augs can also be used; so repeat the process above for Laurions Inn to get Acolyte's Focus of Legacies Lost and emberquartz Crystals. The "a Djinn" named in Laurions Inn was good for the acolyte's and the mobs in this area frequently drop the crystals..

You can then repeat the same process in NOS. Again a different drop and a differnt type of gem are needed.

The last thing I'd like to mention is that there are also type 19s, these can drop from trash mobs in raid instances. You can also get luck augs this way. get your bot crew and kill raid mobs in NOS, LS and TOB expansions.. I beleive there are no 19s in SoR yet, please correct me if I am wrong!

There are also some Type 18's that can be earned on the 24th anniversary quest from Historian Graya in Crescent Reach. There are type 19's that drop and earned on achievement from the 25th Anniversary raid and there are new type 19's from the 27th anniversary raid.

The Rallos Zek earring quest also gave the ability to craft some type 18's but I would say that unless you did the earring quest this isn't worth while as there are much better augs that aren't locked behind so much questing.

Last but not least there are some 18's and 19's that drop in the TBL expansion, though the newer ones will be much better and better to go after.

this is good advice, lore groups can be a little difficult to navigate, but every expac that has an evolving item has a ways to get them,
1) TBL, go farm mearatas named for type 18s or Doomfire Raid for type 19s (they are just standard yard trash drops)
2) don't forget to farm the trash in raid instances for type 19 devotee variations, coz the highest attainable group evolution of these things will take a type 19
