Question - /doevents flush placement within sub

Is there any difference where one places /doevents flush <eventname> within a sub? I surmise that one would flush to mitigate event flooding, but sometimes I don't see a flush at all which I interpret as wanting to process all the events. I've seen subs that have flush at the top. Others at the bottom. Is there any functional difference?

If an author opts to flush an event, and they do it inside of an event, it just means that once they enter the sub, they want to flush. Before they do something in the event versus at the end of the event, or after the doevent shouldn't matter I'd think.
