Problem - Does KA automatically equip new gear? Can I disable this?

No, it does not

It's more a feature of the game itself. If you have nothing in a slot the game will auto equip new gear for that slot.

If it is filled then it goes into your bags to be equipped later.

Hmm, I feel like I should close this and post a new thread somewhere else. I had a shield, the same attunable shield dropped, and it was spamming a popup window asking if I was sure if I wanted to bind the item to my character.
Saw somewhere else that it might be MQ2Exchange or something so I'll test it out a little today if I get any further drops.

Haven't experienced this issue since I originally posted. Unloaded MQ2Exchange but I fail to see how it could have had an effect.
Going to close this now.
