Greetings! You may or may not have noticed that we have renamed the Discord server back to EQEmulator. This is something that we always planned to do as we change gears (as a community) from focused preservation (following the closure of the previous discord) to now working to get back to the business of enabling the continuation and advancement of this hobby we all have in common.

We also have some other efforts in the works to try to regain as much structure and project stability as possible now that we have managed to come up for air following the initial preservation effort; more information will be shared about those specific efforts as they are finalized.

Happy hump day! As we continue to move this community forward, we have developed an updated set of ⁠rules for everyone that chooses to participate in this Discord community to abide by. These rules were carefully crafted and considered by a council of long time community stakeholders and we believe they will serve us well moving forward.

None of the moderators of this Discord server are here because we want to be Discord warriors, but we will take care of business (in a progressively increasing manner) when our hands are forced due to a disregard for the established ⁠rules.

Wherever possible, warnings will be issued, then time outs, temp bans and ultimately permeant bans if our hands are forced.

Let's all play nice in our mutual elf-sim sandbox and this community will be one that we can all enjoy and grow together within. Have a great day!
