Problem - Crashing

Hello- I have never had this problem before. I have DL'ed the newest VVC from here: http://www.redguides.com/community/showthread.php/31737-Very-Vanilla-Compile-20150331 .

I have tried over and over, both with the Red Guides Updater as well as manually, to install the most recent update. I log in my characters, I start MQ2, and as soon as I target my main and do /mac kissassist, the scroll starts like everything is loading, but then the boxes freeze and crash, every time.

Any advice? Ty in advance.

Also - I have dl'ed a new copy of the RGU just to make sure that is not the problem.

Is it possible for a skin to cause the problem? When the new loot system was released I had to change my skin set to a new one, because the maker of my old one doesn't update it anymore. So could there be a conflict with my new UI?

UI conflicts are a major source of crashing. I would start of the default UI get up and running and go from there.
 
I don't crash, though, until I start MQ2. So, my question would be, are there any certain files in my UI folder that might conflict with MQ2?
 
Well...it is definitely the UI. I changed to default and no crashes. Now how to find out in these hundreds of files what causes it. FML. lol

There is no way I can play with the default UI, I'd rather have toothpicks shoved into my eyeballs.

Ok. So, here is what little info I can provide in case anyone else has this problem.

I restarted with Default (I made a new folder, and copied and pasted all of the default files - keep in mind that you should not make any adjustments to the original default file, just make a new folder, name it whatever you want, then copy in all of the default files).

I then copied over two files at a time from my original custom UI folder, only copying the items that I truly cannot live without. Most or all of these files start with EQUI (i.e. EQUI_Groupwindow). After 2 copies, I would then upload the new UI to insure that these files would not cause me to crash. Be sure to do this with MQ2 running.

The only files that I found that made me crash were spell files (but not the spell bar file). Of course, there may be more files from my original UI folder that made me crash, I don't know, because I only coped over the files that I really wanted for my UI.
