Problem - Could MobsToIgnore be interfering with chain pulling?

As the title describes I am not getting chain pull behavior in this zone, whereas I just left a zone where chain pulling was working perfectly. The only change I can recall is having to set a new NPCs to ignore in the new zone whereas in the previous zone I did not have any Ignore mobs set.

Here's my INI:

Theoretically yes.. setting mobs to ignore that are actual mobs in the current zones/pull radius of where you are hunting can cause chain pull issues... but without knowing the entry you added to the kissassist_info.ini for the MobsTOIgnore portion of the [zone] ... not even going to venture a guess at this point.

Please attempt to reset the "MobsToIgnore=" to its default NULL state.. and re-attempt while observing if the intended chain pulling action functions as intended... if it is still screwy even after removing any ignored mobs (not ignoring any mobs)... then that points to another matter.. and can at least eliminate this item as the cause of your chain pulling woes... lol

Provide feedback please once you have done what I am asking.. and we will take it from there.

Also.. please clarify... did you manually move to a new zone and then restart kissassist on the puller.... at the new camp... just want to make sure you didnt pause the macro and then unpause it after moving to a new zone... but actually restarted it.. so it picked up new zone info from the ini files.

TreeHuginDruid,

I did manually move to a new zone and restart kiss on the puller. Brand new camp, etc. I moved from Tosk to The Grounds following the strategies guides for grinding basically.

For reference my change was:

[The Grounds]
MezImmune=List up to 10 mobs. Use full names i.e. a green snake,a blue tiger,a wide eye ooze or NULL
MobsToPull=List up to 25 mobs. Can be partial names Macro example: rat, snake, bear or ALL for all mobs
MobsToIgnore=Spensur,Giladan the Botanist,Garden Sentinel,Gardener Aerith,Groundskeeper Seamus,Plomaedis,fourth missing bonecrafter
MobsToBurn=List up to 10 mobs. Use full names i.e. Beget Cube,Helias,Raze or NULL
PullPath=Place holder for path file. Not yet impletmented.

So, moved down a few hundred yards, took out the MobsToIgnore change in the KissAssist_Info file and... works like a charm. Back again to chain pulling as long as I don't run into those mobs it'll work.

I'll leave it up to you to decide if it's working as intended or an actual bug. I mean, it does pull just fine, it just doesn't chain pull.

It appears it is working as intended... it wont chain pull when your pull radius intersects with named / special mobs you have on the ignore list... so it is doing exactly what you are configuring it to do.... chain pull as long as i dont have any of these ignored mobs in my pull radius..

It may seem screwy... but the logic is sound... by either moving out of the pull radius of any IGNORED mob.... or.. NOT ignoring any mob within your pull radius.. you result in "chain pulling" having nothing in its way to potentially obstruct the flow.

Thank you for the added leg work.. and seeing for yourself that it was actually breaking chain pulling because you were too close (in pull range) of mobs you specifically ignored for the zone.

I'll consider this resolved...

Just as a note... chain pulling with a "MaxRadius=3000" in pull section... and ignored mobs... is the cuprit .. even though the logic is good.

I'm positive if you wanted to maintain that camp... and none of the ignored named mobs were within a normal pull range radius ( say MaxRadius=250) you would chain pull without issue... but as it stands... your saying my potential radius is the whole damn zone.... and by the way... don't pull these mobs if they in my radius ( the whole damn zone ).. lol
