my macro or your macro window wont let me type in it and at the bottom of the typing says could not connect but the program is some what working .. it wont load spells and the toons that have spells loaded it works ok but there assist window wont work either and you cant type in it either

Sounds like it's trying to connect to EQBC, which isn't exactly KissAssist persay, though KissAssist does use EQBC which is Everquest box chat.

See the above link for instructions on starting the EQBC server which is run locally on your PC.

I have the same issue. I can not type in my macro window anymore. I have eqbc up and running fine. SHould I be worried?

I couldn't find it with a quick look, but I believe the mq2 window was changed so you can't type it in any longer --- its definitely something wrong, you can type in any chat window etc

Actually I have mq2 chat messages going to other windows now, I guess it is time to reinstall it.

After reinstall, can still not type in mq chat window will test other message outputs tomorrow.
