Would love to start compiling my own MQ2.. have search and found many good resources, but I seem to be missing a big step!

I have Visual Studio 2012 installed. I use HexEdit to edit the MQAuth and MQ.exe. I pull the source into VS 2012 and change to release. Drag the release folder to my normal executable shortcut. Do some macro house cleaning and copy in the macros I've been using from the Redguides builds.

And I still get incorrect client version.... I feel as if I'm almost there. Any guidance?

The test compile source code is not released at MQ2 and we only release it upon request. Right now the test server source code is out of date so you would only get incorrect client version. You have to wait until the new source code is released.
