I believe the entire time I've been using a cleric in my lineup... just realized it though yesterday and experimented all last night and today...

Hey everyone,

Just refining my group and was working with my cleric and realized, he literally attacks, heals, and buffs appropriately when there are 2 or more mobs. The second there is only one mob left in camp, the cleric then gets into position behind the last mob and only swings melee damage and heals; he will no longer cast/go through his DPS spells/rotation. Is this something inherently built into KissAssist? Every other toon continues to use his DPS lineup in the ini through all toons, it is only my cleric that takes a break when there is only one mob left in camp.

The cleric literally does everything that is built into my ini UNTIL there is one non-named mob remaining. I figured it has got to be something in a file somewhere that I don't normally edit.

Could it be set up to burn when 2+ mobs? Assuming mana levels still good with in DPS parameters?
I don't know where to check the 2+ burn parameters; I currently have BurnAllNamed=1 and he burns just fine when there are named... my cleric has mana until my paladin runs out; the only time the cleric ever sits for mana is when the paladin pullertank does. Like I said, there are no errors when there are 2+ Mobs in the camp; it's when there is only 1 mob remaining; all of a sudden he just decides to melee with his weapon and forgets that he still has DPS things to do *shrug*
 
Post a copy of you ini file for us to look at.
So quick update, my apologies on late response, Christmas was busy; that said, I've been tinkering with it... and ALL my toons stop their DPS rotation when there is only 1 mob left in camp. Furthermore, the BURN section will be used against the named mob, when it is the only one, but then that is all. The DPS section remains untouched. To remedy the burn, I could put all the DPS stuff into the BURN section, but then it would only cast once through it all, but that's it.

I will link INI as soon as I get on in the morning, but it's affecting ALL my toons, not just the cleric. *crosses fingers* you guys notice something I am missing since moving over to MQ Next.
 
that has nothing to do with what is happening americannero, that just allows you to stop doing dps rotation when the mob falls below that hp%, not when there is just 1 mob left in camp.

dpsskip=2 that way you dont fire of dots and debuffs when the mob is at 2% and about to die.

not when its the only mob left in the camp.
 
It sounds like there are NO targets in your XTarget window when this is happening. Can you verify if the last mob in camp is showing up in the XTarget window?

Has anything to do with it... If they should be flipped; I was playing around with this to ensure my crew returns neatly to the camp, but I'm thinking maybe it's what's doing it.

I'm going to mess with this tomorrow and see if switching those up helps at all.

1. Yes the remaining 1 mob in camp is on the Xtarget
2. Tried out my theory, it proved false.
 
set CampRadius=35 and CampRadiusExceed=400 and MeleeDistance=75. see if that makes a difference.
OK. So I "fixed" the cleric, I put the contraventions under healing with |tap designator, so now the cleric is either healing or "tapping" under the healing section... I'm assuming there is something inherent to the cleric class as a healer built into KissAssist Very Vanilla (again, I'm not expert, so I am still refining my way the best I can)... that said, the shaman I have no luck whatsoever; he's a great healer AND continues to melee dps only BECAUSE he has |debufall|malo/slow|always designators; otherwise, he doesn't cast anything else from the DPS section with only 1 mob remaining.
 
@ctaylor22 that setting is the devil because when one is low level, having that set stops all dps before the mob dies and it just keeps whacking you. Maybe the confusion I've had about it is that I go with a full caster team. I wish it were gone, and that conditions were only used.
 
@ctaylor22 First, thank you for the reponse and my apologies; IRL has kept me busy and my escape, gaming, even busier lately... I have this thread watched but I didn't get any notifications or enabled push... interesting. That said, I figured out the melee issues; I guess it's imperative that MQ2Melee=0 is NOT used, but instead use MQ2Melee=1, which fixed the melee issues of not doing things with 1 mob in camp. The cleric, however, still doesn't go through the DPS rotation with 1 mob left, but the work around was putting her contravescent line in her healing rotation and it still executes that way! So for now, I'm pleased.

Thanks for any and all help! If I get to a point where I'm annoyed again, I'll get that debug to you! Thanks again everyone!
