Version of KissAssist.mac?
11.005
When did your problem start?
Not a problem it is a question.
Character Role?
  1. Assist
What class is having this issue?
  1. Shaman
How often does this issue occur?
Always
Will my Shaman be able to buff the mage's pet with the Melee parameter?
Buffs1=Unity of the Soul|dual|Mammoth's Force|Melee
There is no Pet parameter.

Normally, you just have to enable buffs and kiss will buff all. But to be sure toggle petbuff on 1... just in case

Use the group version of Unity. Even if you're at an odd numbered level where you have the next single target, but not the corresponding group target spell, continue to use the old group target spell until you have the next one.

SA_krycek The single and group versions are 5 level increments. The 85 group version gives 6% evasion and the 86 single target gives 9% evasion which is a 50% improvement. Using a grp version is sad.
I have tried the additional parms but they don't work. If I use my single target with no extra flags it will cast on all players including the MAG and SHM which is not good and it will not cast on the mage's pet.

Kiss does NOT specifically check pets for buffs. Kiss will buff pets, if the pets information is written to KissAssist_Buffs.ini file, but the is handled by the master, so the master has to be running kissassist. You can also use dannet and using dannet will ask each character if they have a pet, and then buff their pet if needed.

Fortunately my mage will be running KA. That seems to be a easier solution then DanNet but I have never tried DanNet.

Have similar problem with my enchanters Singletarget lifetap scarecrow buff. He does buff his own pet, but Not the Group-Magens pets. Did I understood right, that the ' |Melee'. Tag includes all Kind of pets?

From CTaylor in this thread... "Kiss does NOT specifically check pets for buffs. You can also use dannet and using dannet will ask each character if they have a pet, and then buff their pet if needed. " My shaman needs to buff/heal the mage pet and the shm and mag are on the same PC. So if I use DanNet my problem is resolved?

I am running dannet already. Shall I add the buffs I want for the pet into the pets Masters pet section as petbuff even if the Master cant buff IT, so the right class will get the Information via Kissassist_buffs.ini?

I have a similar issue. I play with my wife who does not use mq2 and we have a caster group where she boxes 3 mages. To get my characters using KissAssist to buff the pets, I first target the pet then use the command: /tbmanager add
That adds my current target to the KissAssist_Buffs.ini file. I have to use it every time I load KissAssist on a character.

@Dycart ty, I wasn't aware of the command : /tbmanager add. Atleast that now allows me, to get the single-target buffs onto the pets. 1 step forward, even if it means, it has to be redone at every start.

If you are running dannet on all characters, and on all characters running Kissassit 12 you have DanNetOn turned on. You do not need to do anything on the master to get the Buffing casters to ask if you have a pet. Kiss will check the DanNet Peers list for the zone you are in and buff all pets, who's masters name shows up in the list. Try using the /dnet info command from your buffer and the pets master to see if their names show up in the zones name list.

CTaylor if a char is using 11.005 and DanNet will the results be different than what you describe? In KA 12 beta is DanNet still limited to LAN?

I think there is some additional functionality when using DanNet and Kiss 12, that is not in Kiss 11. I can't remember exactly what the difference is, but I don't think there is any difference in the buffing routines and using dannet. I know kiss 12 when using DanNet asks each character in the DanNet zone peers list if they have a pet, and then asks if the pet needs the current buff being applied.
