I understand that ... This addition works only with characters boxed on the same computer because it writes to a central ini file in the macro folder.

I have never used Google cloud service. In a situation in which there are only 2 players with different IP adr would this be an affordable solution to the problem of the central file? Granted the KA coders would need to support it.

Conflict resolution usually creates a problem here. Most cloud services are "last write wins" and some will create a .conflict file if two writes happen at the same time.

So, it will kind of work but there may be some weird issues.

Would Dannet and/or MQ2CWTNBuffs allow me to know which player/pet needs buffing?
dannet can communicate buffs over your local network, yes - cwtnbuffs no, cwtnbuffs just writes your information locally (pc, not network), so unless you were querying that over the network, you would have no way of getting that information

I have 2 chars on my PC and my son has 2 chars on his PC so it seems creating a true central buff file is not possible. Oh well... maybe someday :)

If you use MQ2DanNet and both PC's are on the same Local Network(LAN), then all characters will buff each other. If a connection to each of the PC's require them to travel outside your local network(WAN) then currently there isn't a simple way of doing this.
