Having a delayed command problem.... when I do a "follow me" or "mimic me" command, there is a random delay, anywhere between 30 secs to a whole minute before it executes. I tried to reboot, restart and update, but nothing is helping. Any other suggestions?

Im not sure I understand the question....

I click on the little boxes "Follow Me" or "Mimic Me" and the command goes to the other characters in my group... some immediately and some with random delays

eqbcs is the server that lets the accouts talk to each other and is how the commands are sent.

that's what I assumed, so, is there anything I can do to fix the delay when the command is issued? beside reboot and restart I also made sure there were no plug-in or macros running.... do I need to re-install?

One computer or multiple?

For a quick fix, close all open eqbcs windows and try starting one of alternate EQBCS versions inclued with Vanilla. The is the original, eqbcs2 and eqmule version.

single computer, I tried starting EQBCS before launching VV/MQ2 and also after, same issue

I'll try EQBCS2 and report back in a bit

How I fix this issue is to send a broadcast to all clients to disconnect from eqbc and reconnect them. The important thing is to make sure all clients are disconnected before reconnecting. I use isboxer to broadcast the disconnect command so I don’t have to worry about the laggy clients lagging behind.
I have multiple computers and this method always fix the lag for me.

same results with eqbcs2. I thought it was fixed when I did a manual disconnect and reconnect.. but no

Use the eqbcs-eqmule.exe if you're having problems with the other two which are essentially the same, one just has a startup UI that allows you to perform certain windows based tasks at the click of a button.

I've previously had issues with lag on the other two, and while it doesn't happen now, there was never any information collected that confirmed a source for this lag.

Edit: One other possibility I've seen people do. When you're connecting to EQBCS you're using /bccmd connect 127.0.0.1 2112 correct? Using your external ip or 0.0.0.0 (can result in your external being used) will also cause this kind of lag.

Well, looks like the issue is gone.... only thing I did different was I did not launch EQBCS from the launcher but right clicked MQ2 icon and launched from there

When you're connecting to EQBCS you're using /bccmd connect 127.0.0.1 2112 correct?

I dont use any ip at all... I simply type in /bccmd connect

I had this same issue - always ended up being the 6th toon connecting to my eqbc - I was told to try eqbcs2 which clears it up for some folks (but not all). I was also told if you run eqbcs (the regular version) to run it in High-Priority Mode
so you would control-shift-escape to bring up task manager - then go to details, then go down to EQBCS.EXE right click and set priority to high-priority

Thanks! I’ll give that a try as well
