Problem - Bard spells locking up with KissAssist

Yes. The issue can be repeated quickly and easily by moving item clicks from the burn section if the attached .ini file to the DPS section.

I am having an issue with my bard's spell bar being locked out completely when using KissAssist. It seems to occur when there are multiple clicky items with cast times being used back to back (i.e. in the burn section in the attached .ini file). I know bards can have issues with spell bar lockouts occurring if an item with a cast time is clicked during a melody, however, this is different. The lockout that occurs during a melody will eventually recover and you can do other stuff while the spell bar is locked such as auto attack, etc.

This issue is different. The spell bar never recovers, even after letting it sit for several minutes. No other actions can occur. No auto attack. No socials. You cannot even click the "X" to close the game window because it will not allow you to camp. The only solution is to /quit and log back in.

Unfortunately this is a seemingly never ending eq bug.

You can replicate it by singing songs while trying to cast and claim a spell upgrade median/minor etc.

This iteration of it you need to zone/die to unstick them

Oof. That's unfortunate. Is there anything I can try to change in my .ini file to try to mitigate this issue? Right now it kinda feels like half of my clickies need to stay unused in order to avoid locking my character up.

By the way, this problem can be completely avoided when playing the bard manually by using socials like this:



I'm not sure if there is any way to make KissAssist mimic this behavior.

To (hopefully) answer my own question here, I changed the order of my burn section to alternate instant abilities in between each item clicky with a cast time and I have not had the spell lock up occur yet since making the change.

Useitems with multi words should use quotes.

Kiss is doing everything I am aware of to help minimize this issue. First MQ2Twist plugin uses /cast to sing songs and not /melody so that is one issue. Kiss will try and stop /twist(ing) before casting any item that is not an instant cast item. You can use an instant cast item while a bard is singing a song and not interrupt them. So staggering your items with cast times is a good idea.

Weirdly enough when the lockup occurs you can still do an /alt act 212 (fading memories).

So I do that manually and then run the bard to the nearest zone line to clear the bug.
