I hope this doesn't sound too much like a newb post ('cause it is), but this is my first attempt to contribute. Maybe it will help someone...
I often 2-box my bard and Wiz with this strategy. Once I even picked up a couple of reasonably intellingent casters in Dulak who picked up on the strategy right away and we made it a foursome. It wouldn't be worthwhile in a balanced group, but if you are in a duo or a lopsided group without a tank or just without a healer you can still get good exp.
1) The bard pulls, runs back to group, and punches Mez-song so that the mob stops just short of group.
2) As everyone knows, bard Mez refreshes automatically every tick. This works great multi-boxing because once you hit Mez the bard can pretty much sit there in the background while you work the caster.
3) Move your casters up close. You have to be (uncomfortably close for a Wizard, I can tell you!) up close to see the "...eyes glaze over..." message. Another sign is that the mob usually "twitches" every time Mez refreshes.
4) You can do this manually, but I get much better consistency with a hotkey...
/pause 5
/cast 1
Where your highest damage nuke is in slot 1.
STRATEGY: Time the casting of your nuke to land a (split) second ahead of the Bard re-Mez. Usually, the mob won't even move at all. BLAM!---Eyes glaze over... ~grin~ The built-in pause is so that you can punch the hotkey the instant you see the glaze message, but the spell still lands right on time just before the mez. Its better than trying to gauge the delay yourself. Of course, you have to adjust the hotkey delay for casting time, spell haste, etc.
If you screw up and nuke after the Mez then you just have to wait until the next tic for it to go back to sleep. I always just sit there and take the hits if I wake up the beast. You don't want the bard to take aggro because you don't want the song interrupted, and you don't want to draw the mob out of song range of the Bard by running. By the time you could land a root you would probably break mez again, so just take a few hits and remember not to mess up.
You simply blast away. Done right, the mob never hits you. Mez is rarely resisted compared to root. Obviously, thuis is a mana-intensive operation, so the appropriate buffs and regen items are almost required. I often do it in an outdoor zone with a horse and mana regen potions. The Bard could be grouped and getting exp or not grouped as you wish.
With a little timing strategy, you could work this with any Mezzer, I suppose. Somebody announces the "...ready-set-go...", casters hit their own delayed-cast hotkeys with either mez or nuke depending on class... whatever. Timing is everthing.
The point is that a group without a tank or a main healer can still function. It makes little difference how hard the mob hits if it never hits you...
...a penny for my thoughts?
P.S. I just used this on the Nedaria beach on the turtles. The named turtle would sometimes get a summon off in the split second before mez, but mez naturally broke the summon and I could just back away the Wizard--usually without taking any hits.

Mine is resisted all the time.
