Question - Autoattack killing Ranger autofire?

I've been having a problem with autofire on my ranger. I should say I play my ranger straight without any plugins. The main benefit I get from MQ2 on the ranger is I pull with him, so seeing all of the mobs on the map is a huge boon. The problem occurs if I hit autoattack on a mob, it won't let me switch back to autofire. I can always go from /autofire to /autoattack but never vice versa. 99% of the time this is not an issue as I'll just pull the mob near my warrior and let him take over, get some distance and open up while the rest of my team closes in. I do run CWTN's MQ2 class plugins for warrior, shaman, and berserkers as well as eq wire to reduce background frame rate. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere that prevents returning to autofire? If so I'll probably need to be walked through exactly how to fix it. Or direct a friend to this thread to walk me through the fix (more likely).

Thanks.

are you using mq2melee? you can disable it doing anything with a melee off:

Code:
/melee load
/melee off
/melee save

or if you don't want mq2melee at all

/plugin mq2melee unload

I don't believe this is normal eq behavior as i can have autoattack on and then /autofire and it will turn autofire on instead. but you might have to just do a /multiline ; /attack off; /timed 1 /autofire on
