You've all seen the emotes where mobs say things..usually in yellow text for the folks that use defaults.

Well, I've seen it where somebody was able to make it look like the mob was saying something but it was whatever they wanted to say. For example, on a Xegony raid ..yellow text would appear on my screen that says :

Xegony prepares to put the $ownage$ on so and so's face.

It's funny and all but since I hang out here I ponder how it's done.

Another thing I've seen that I would LOVE to know is how people do the ascii text in their group and raid say. They use hearts, and squares and all that other stuff..How do you do that?

On your 2nd question....

do a search in your windows dir for

charmap.exe

Drag it to your desktop.

Open your character.ini file Go to File -> Save as.

Change ascii to UTF-8, save that, close it, and repoen it.

Now run charmap.exe, select whatever symbol you want to use, copy it to the windows clipboard, now you can paste it in a hotbutton line in your .ini file.

It looks like only certain characters are acceptable..Some of the wingdings it no likie...testign with some I like.

Don't change your entire characterfile.ini to wingdings.
