AFK forage legit style..say goodbye to paranoia and live longer

Here's one way you can avoid having to keep MQ loaded while using "/mac yafm" or MQ autoforaging.

There's a decent 'legit' way to do this. Some people are talking about being paranoid to leave MQ on all night while they're afk forageing..well this will let you keep it off.

Just load up your favorite auto keypress program. (someone can link to a download plz)​

Set it to use a number from your hotbar.​

Look in your abilities tab in the actions window (beside combat skills). Make a forage button. The number (#) that you used to make the forage button with, will make the command, /doability #

Line one on your autoforaging button cooresponds with the command /doability #
Line two is /pause 10
Line three is /autoinventory

WTF!!! -50dkp for me!! I forgot to tell you how to keep your bags so they're not full of garbage forage stuff. Take the stacks of stuff you're after and fill all of your base bag slots with one of them. /autoinventory will discard the item you didn't leave room for....

Now use a keypress program and let that run with MQ unloaded. There now, no more waking up in the middle of the night and running to your comp cause u hearing /beep /beep /beep from /gmcheck alert

Please don't get me wrong but I believe SOE considers this a violation and you can be banned for using "any" program to automate your toon. If someone reports they see you standing there for days and do not respond to tells, a GM could come to see whats up. I am not saying I think you will get banned for this, just that if you do it your way or with MQ2 it makes no difference to SOE.

You don't have to unload plugins, change your MQ setting etc. It's undetectable, doesn't latch onto the code at all.

I'm not sayin its 100% legit, but it doesn't literally hack the client and modify the game play anywhere close to what MQ does. It simply performs a button click.

Everyone talks about a certain tolerance level by GMs, the zone I'm in atm has 9 afk foragers atm and I'm glad I don't have to keep MQ loaded to do it.

using yafm macro is doing nothing but hitting forage and then using an INI file to determine what to keep of not

it also allows for the multiple forages and does the same thing...

IMHO it is the safest way to afk forage...

what your talking about would work also .. but then most of us would have to log off .. shut mq2 down (some crash if you just close mq2 without loggin off) ... start new prog .. log in

xylotbot was a great program in its day for this .... but alas it has run the gauntlet and the developer has decided to not update anymore.



BUT NEITHER is safer than the other... you can be reported for standing there all day with forage Turds anytime or place...

take a lego machine that push the button and it is not a third party program and gm can say nothing ) but you auto foraging )

the software to run the lego machine is 3rd party! lol

And afk macroing is more then a 3rd party software issue its an afk issue. I has alot to do with advancing/playing your toon while not there. If I remember there is something to that in the EUA. But dont quote me. I aint said shit!

CHANGING DIRECTION OF THREAD


so i am in dreadlands and this TARD CHASETHE <-- lvl 45 monk is Training the forageres..... he warps around and pulls mobs and then drops them on top of the foragers....

... but here is the funny part

one of the foragers was not AFK .. and started killin his trains...

it was amusing to see....

after a little bit i decided to take off and come back later...

i see a few corpses including the training monk ... and all the foragers back up

chasethe is gonna get banned ... for training .. i hope 8-)

I just thought I'd comment about this, since idk what was in the flames and I'm starting to see stuff like this popping up a lot...

Vanilla MQ is COMPLETELY UNDETECTABLE. In fact, just about every plugin on the VIP boards...undectable. If you are standing in PoK with MQ2 running all night with no macro running...you're not going to get banned unless you already got nailed by someone. And then, the GMs still can't *ever* prove that you're running MQ. The only indicators of someone running MQ are macros like autobot or modbot where entire groups of casters will face their targets and start casting within a second of each other, other simple macros that are being abused (such as leaving YAFM.mac running for several days straight), and plugins like warp/zone/fade/hidedoors/speed, etc. Regular macros are only distinguishable as nonhuman because a) they do things faster than humanly possible, or b) because they do the same things over and over again.

And just about the only time you're going to get nailed is when you get reported. So the lesson to learn is...don't piss people off.

Hate to bust your bubble on this idea but if you go out to Wakening Land and try this there are 2 no drop forages that don't even stack and once you get 15 items piled up on your mouse you can no longer forage anything game will report there is no place to put the item and are screwed from there on till you destroy or drop all the items on your mouse.

I tried this using Autofire and ran into this problemn going for the Yew Leaf there. Am sure there are other zones that have same issue but WL is where I learned it.
