So this is my current build that I am using for my 55 Monk that has been treating me well. It should be usable on live and test, and potentially on TLP depending on what expansion you are on (may have to modify some of the combat abilities). It has some conditionals that need explaining and are highly geared towards solo/molo play. They can be used in group situations but will require some tinkering. I have also commented out a few items that can be added back in depending on how you like...

I will switch the dpson to 2 since that makes sense. Can you explain the 100 is encouraged as 99?

well using dpson=1 and setting stuff to 100 can cause some side effects like attacking a mob before you're anticipating, or run into stuff like npcs

I've used it on tanks just fine, but assisting not so much

Dude! That's awesome that you put out a monk ini..... I've noticed a lack of 40 to 65 monk and bl ini's in the library and want to start working on some myself as a way to help teach myself conditions.

I noticed it too and wasn't sure why there was such a lack of love for the monk class. I'm still new to the class but so far I'm liking it, so I figure as long as there are no complaints I will probably continue to try and fill in the gaps as I level my baby monk up, and add whatever I can learn from doing so to help others here. The conditions can be a bit of a challenge sometimes to get it exactly right but when you do it is very rewarding to see it in action.
