Bard pulling doesn't work. No idea why, but I've noticed it myself and just thought it was something I messed up. It doesn't seem to work with any of their spells, not just Brusco's

Based on your post, the fee for ISBoxer wouldn't be much of a hardship. Assuming that's the case, I'd definitely pick it up. It's a little clunky to configure at first, but the tiled instant-switching windows are amazing for playing one one character and automating a couple extra.

You don't have anything in for: MezMinLevel=Min Mez Spell Level MezMaxLevel=Max Mez Spell Level Also, be sure whatever you're fighting can be mezzed. (Giants/cyclops cannot)

I don't know the answer to #1, but I'm extremely pleased with the code for bard mez. Mine can reliably handle mezzing 3 adds, usually 4, and he's only in his 30's.
