I have main a War for 25 years and Love him, But i raid with him. For group content its hard to beat a knight IMO.

All my caster groups use a Druid as the healer and i have 0 issues. My group make ups are , Sk/Pal for tank, Bard because i will not make a group without one =) Chanter yes i know 2 CC but i like it, Druid, Mag, Wiz or Nec. I preferer the Wiz Dps but Having a few Nec on raids is nice as well. I...

From your list i went with SK , Shammy , Bard , Chanter , Wizzy , Mage. Personally i would replace the shammy with a druid for the healer and Yes i know bard and chanter but i never have a group without a bard and the chanters adps adds a ton. and with that much CC the druid heals just fine.
