I just don't know the audience. Old models only, difficulty levels, and p99 ui are aimed squarely at P99 players. Those people are already playing p99, and I'm skeptical about them converting them to paying players. Especially with box fee, sub fee and mtx. Maybe they'll siphon off some live...

The devs have been around emu for quite a while, and haven't created anything a fraction as fun as thj. Just don't know how I really feel, the concept has proven itself, but a poor copy is not ideal. However, the announcement made me want to play eq again, so not all bad.

All the other stuff aside, I'd like to just thank everyone who's worked on MQ over the years. For me personally it turned a job that I sometimes enjoyed into something I did for fun. Since the banwaves, I've been hanging out on emu, first convergence (I suck at scripting), then thj... And now...

The ban waves and the reality that I don't want to play EQ without automation has driven me to an emu server. Even with a donation here and there, I'll be saving a couple thousand a year that I paid Daybreak.

I've been playing on Convergence for a few weeks now. It's been interesting, I'm trying to learn how to automate a raid, something I'd never done in Live eq. But yeah, it's been fun. And absolutely no concerns about finding my now 30 accounts banned is liberating.

So I got mine working. In the end I deleted the lootnscoot folder and did a re-install. Once it was in place, i double checked the file attributes. Windows like to make folders read only over and over. So I turned that off, and immediately ran the lua script in game. it installed and works.

Yeah, I've tried launching mq as admin, didn't help. I checked and have full permission for the entire folder, so I'm just not sure whats up. I copied the modules file from my working live mq folder with sqlite in it, but nothing. The windows cmd window opens and sits there.

I'm struggling to get this (or rgmercs lua) running properly. Packageman wants to install sqlite3, but one I hit install a window opens to install and does nothing. If I click it off, the lua will load but has problems. Is there a work around for this?

Druid an Ranger easily. Using CWTN plugins. It's so bad that I put a shaman persona on my druid and at 115/autogrant it could keep up in a grind better than my 125/near max aa druid. The ranger is in a similar situation. Great while it has mana, but that's not for long.
