Did you go with one of the optimum builds? I actually found the progression mobs like Nagafen/Vox to be pretty hard to solo on THJ but I choose for fun rather than max effectiveness on my classes.

Back before MQ, back in the day, you want to upset people - let a whole group wipe to a mob, and then a necro or shaman comes by and solos it later. People really didn't like that - even if they couldn't kill it, weren't going to try again even, they still didn't want to see you doing it solo...

I couldn't imagine being a BRD without any assistance back in the day - the constant twisting of songs just hurts my wrists thinking about it.

That would be cool - multiple permanent pets. Although I suppose it would just be a visual thing (for balance reasons if they give us 8 pets they'd cut them to 1/8th normal power), and they might actually get in the way if you have a bunch of pet classes. I can certainly picture a necromancer...

I know that experience. You get something fast, think it must not be that rare, give/sell it, and then wham - you're there 2 weeks and never see another one.
