You've discovered RedGuides, an EverQuest multi-boxing and scripting community 🧙♀️⚙️. We want you to play several EQ characters at once, come join us and say hello! 👋
A TLP without truebox has thawed (Very Vanilla ready)
Aw bummer. I think for Live EQ I use the build-it windows "High DPI scaling options" but to be honest I'm not real certain of that. I'm running at 3440x1440 without much trouble.
(I too am in the "what do you mean my eyes are just gonna keep getting worse?" age club)
I've used a program called Lossless Scaling (available on Steam for like, 7 bucks) to solve this problem with older games like LOTRO and DDO and it works really great for those. I've never tried it for EQ but there's no reason to think it wouldn't work.
I played the demo; it's cute! It's a little more simplistic than I'd like, but then again, the demo is just of the "newbie island". I think it's got potential.
If you know the 4-digit ID# of the spell (which is found when you inspect the buff using one of the default MQ plugins, not sure which one, or you can find it on Lucy) you use:

/blockspell add pet #### to block it on your pet.

If Bob tells Jim /dex Jim /echo $\{Me} it will return Jim.

If you're using KissAssist, I'd recommend setting your AssistAt to some number lower than 100; that can lead to your groupmates attacking NPCs upon merely targeting them, which is bad if you were trying to hail them instead of kill them. (99 or 98 is reasonable though.)
The /dge command is...
You've now got enough RedCents to get a month of subscription access without having to pay for anything. I don't have any advice that hasn't already been given in the thread, but ask if you get stuck! The videos and community are great here.
This is my experience as well. My Enchanter doesn't want to specialize in Conjuration, and casting Minor Shielding won't make that happen in any event.
This is a fascinating look under the hood!
Re: your first rule - so the client will automatically flag someone if they target something using MQ? I had thought that was something a GM would need to personally observe. Guess not!
