hey all, been out for a while and now that im back ive loaded a couple of the newer compiles (Ndawg atm) and it seems that when ive got them running, titles (baron, master, assassin, ect..) stop displaying. its not the end of the world, just wondering how I can get them back on, I like them =)

Well I dunno, if I were new to the forums and looking for a strategy I figure theres a good change I would do something absolutely retarded and unacceptable like post in the "EQ1 Strategies & Cheats" section. But then I always have been a bit slow.

Interesting response. Presumably coming from a player who, when confronted with the repetitiveness, tediousness, and difficulty of certain aspects of EQ, could choose to play an easier or less time consuming game, but prefers to simply bypass some or all of those aspects by utilizing MQ2...

no, we get 2 or 3 lines of "you backstab...." in a row, just like any other melee's double attack or triple attack. We don't control when it happens, it just does or doesn't on any given backstab.

I know i could do that, but what im after is the visual effect of the popup, just to give me something more interesting to stare at than the back of a mobs head

text that the plugin would be looking for would be: "Toon scores a crititcal hit!(X)" and "You backstab mob for X points of damage." For the second it would be looking for that line to be repeated twice or three times, because when a double or triple is landed, no matter how much spam there...

any thoughts? anything at all? =p

Anybody who plays a rogue and takes an active interest in the sort of damage and critical hits theyre scoring knows that watching that spam can get pretty boring. Alternatively, just watching the mob bounce around and recoil during a fight can be equally as mind numbing... So I was thinking...

the purpose is pretty clear to me =)

lets not forget how they reinstated accounts that were banned for using EQwindows after they made alt+tabbing and windowed modes available. Perhaps we'll see the same thing here.. /shrug

Goes for a big DUHHH that nobody can really expect to be handed fee AA's like that, but you have to admit that it is pretty underhanded of SOE to release the expansion with this "bug" then wait a little while while people who want a peice buy DoDH and then nerf it, effectively leaving us with...
