I spend around $280/month, and play at least least 10 hours a week. So it costs around $7/hr to play EQ with multiple gold groups. I could play more and pay less by buying KR more often, but meh, its supposed to be fun not a job. Cheap hobby overall, even with multiple groups.

Ive always done ole grinning instead, and sell the type 5's he drops for currency. The spawn on him and drop rate of his type 5's is nearly 2x the hdex ones, with 0 issues on pathing if you ignore the other sharks and set proper Z heights.

Didnt say it was wrong, just learning to use the tools we have properly. For raiding, having the MT/MA when grouped with multiple healers, those healers in group with the MT/MA should not have the MT/MA on Xtar, which was new and welcome info to me and those i play with.
