When did your problem start?
NoS Xpac Release
Character Role?
  1. Assist
What class is having this issue?
  1. Magician
How often does this issue occur?
Always
Can you reproduce the issue?
Yes, I run mage and anytime the swarm pet spell is resisted it stops using that spell.
For some reason, my mage stops casting swarm pets and will not use them for the rest of the fight on a mob. I've backtracked it to after he throws the message "Spell did not take hold" in relation to him casting Roiling Servant. From that point forward, he will not use the spell until the mob dies and/or the main assist calls for engagement of a new target. Not sure if it's possibly due to the DD component being resisted by the swarm pet spell but it is a really noticeable decline in dps on some of the longer fights if the mage won't use swarms. No swarms = fewer pets, and no synergy procs for the group. Hopefully, it's just something stupid I'm missing and an easy fix. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

When the CombatCast routine gets the CAST_TAKEHOLD flag returned from the cast routine it sets a 5 minute timer for that entry. This is to keep from trying to cast a spell over and over again, that just won't TAKE HOLD. I might be able to check if the spell/AA has multiple parts or of a specific class and not set the timer. What is the exact swarm spell/AA you are trying to cast?
