Version of KissAssist.mac?
Not avail at the moment
When did your problem start?
months ago
Character Role?
  1. Assist
What class is having this issue?
  1. Monk
How often does this issue occur?
Always
Can you reproduce the issue?
yes
If I don't have a main assist set, KA takes a good 5-6 seconds before actually attacking. If I set it, its instant. This is a huge problem if all my toons arent in my group for various reasons. Anyone know why its doing that? I've tried playing with the roles, etc and doesnt seem to solve the issue.

*edit* for clarity, if you do /mac kissassist char, the character will correctly assist that character using the .ini attributes, it just takes 4-5 seconds for them to engage. The minute you set that assisted character to main assist, the other characters will assist immediately.

Two things to keep in mind. 1. Characters in the same group as the MA will get their target using Me.GroupAssistTarget.ID that is why the MA needs to be set as Main Assist in the group window(Group.MainAssist.ID) 2. Characters NOT in the Group with the MA, will not get aggro from a mob the MA attacks. So we have to wait for the MA to call his target and then set an XTarget entry to point to that mob so Kiss knows there is a mob to attack, and what mob to attack.

The second scenario is dependent on EQBC or DanNet to be setup and running. The out of group characters are waiting for an event to be triggered so they can get their target. Also check and make sure your assistat is set to like 99. It can take a few seconds for the character to acquire a target and enter the combat routine just to have to leave, because the mobs HP is not low enough to start combat. Depending what all you have turned on leaving and returning to the combat routine can take about 3 to 5 seconds. Also make sure you have the Background Framerate in EQ set to something like 60 and see if that helps. You can set the framerate lower, but I always start testing at 60 and work my way down until I find that happy medium.
