Hi,
Been playing with the emu idea for so long now and getting no where fast, anyone willing to help me on a stand alone windowed based system?

Just as a note its not instead of the Red Server as thats some work its more so I can mess in the background etc altering quests and such or even create missing quests.

I am looking for some links or copy files to start from scratch that are off a working system - i have used what is on eqemulater.net but serveral guides and all different.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Still hitting a wall here, can you guys tell me what version of the eqemu server, quests and database you downloaded?

Red Planet on linux is the latest and greatest right off the SVN so whatever the most current version. I am not sure what what version Spiken has been testing on his windows setup.

It can very frustrating though. I have a background in linux, mysql and some c++ and this emu shit is tough. I spent a good 6 weeks before I got a real handle on it and we still have issues no seems to be able to solve.

the "LD" issue i solve on the Windows server, on my Windows server im running 2059, i went back all revs and tested alot and this is the best rev that got working bots and no "LD" issue so far i know

I am still struggling to have the eqemulogin connect to the game, no problems connecting externally thats easy, but to use your pc as private play area is a nightmare - to be honest stepped away for awhile as its driving me nuts, anyone want to throw me a bone please feel free.
