I have been exploring the BOTs used by the EMU world. Below is a list of commands to create, spawn and control your BOTs. I am also going to note some observations after spending couple days trying to figure them out.

1. Maskoi tells me RedPlanet will be limiting BOTs - you can create upto 5 but only spawn 2 at time.

2. BOTs are stupid. They are harder to control then mercs, however they don't seem to "lose confidence".

3. BOTs must first be created. You must use the exact correct syntex (see create command below). Use very simple names or you may NOT be able to spawn your BOTs. In particular NO special characters, letters ONLY in the name.
example: /say #bot create dummy 2 5
example will create a BOT with the name "dummy", it will be a cleric "2" and high elf "5". (see the details below)

4. The group leader MUST spawn and invite both bots to the group.

5. By default the BOTs will follow you around and attack anything you attack. The cleric BOT is quick to stop attacking and start chain-healing until it runs out-of-mana.

6. The cleric BOT runs out of mana very fast.

7. YOU must equip your BOTs. They seem to know which item you give them is most usable and will return items they don't want. You may also veiw their inventory and take any item you desire from them (see commands below).

8. BOTs have many of the same abilities as normal player classes. They are about as good a player as many grandfathers, teenagers and gamers that still live in their parents basement at 35 y/o. "Ouch that hurt"

Overall I found the BOTs to be more trouble then they are worth. However, they will round out your group if like me you can't quite box 6 toons.

I copied the commands from some forum or wiki somewhere. I forget which one.
16 Jan, I found where I copied the BOT commands from: http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=Bot

BOTs do not zone with you. You must respawn them and invite them back into the group everytime you zone, fade, succor... I made a hotbutton to keep it simple. One click gets both of my bots back in the broup:
Rich (BB code):
/say #bot spawn < name1 >
/say #bot spawn < name2 >
/pause 5
/invite < name1 >
/invite < name2 >

I DL'd the Underfoot client, changed EQHost.ini added the RedPlanet files to the emu folder.
When I try to load EQ using the icon set up to skip patcher i get this error.
"The procedure entry point
??onGetInterface@@QAE@PAVnsISupport@@PAI@Z could not be
located in the dynamic link library xul.dll."
has anyone dealt with that error before?

Go get a legit copy of EQ. Sorry bro I don't have the energy to even think about supporting/debugging torrent copies of EQ Undeerfoot. If it doesn't work for you no clue.

I would disagree - I find them great because of this
#bot botgroup attack
So useful to have that in a hotbutton as they wont attack until 95% and if you grab a red you can end up in trouble, or if you want them on your target after switching targets.
I set up with a cleric and wiz and go with that, would love to have 3 or 4 tho **looks hopeful** would love a raid of 60 bots. :)

Tried two accounts, with two bots on each and you cant invite anothers bot - but you can set up a raid, invite the other toon, then have both toons group there own bots - works for me anyway.
The cleric BOT runs out of mana very fast
agreed, make sure you or your second bot is a damage class or you get a pok invite real quick
Equip the bots the same way using the robot in pok - however zone in and out after doing so as you find there equipment back in your bags sometimes - its a little buggy - but you do this once.
Plus if you move two fast between levels in a dungeoun for instance they get stuck in the scenerary quite alot so need to have that in mind.
Personally I think there one of the major plus's of red server, thank you - now Maskoi please give me 57 more :p

#bot summon <bot name or target> - Summons named or targeted bot to your location.

hot key
Rich (BB code):
#bot summon botname1
#bot summon botname2

You can have both toons bots in your group. You just have to make the other toon leader for him to summon and invite bots.

How? I cant get this to work.

Only the group leader can invite bots, that he created, into the group.

Player A is group leader and invites his bot into the group.
Player A makes player B group leader.
Player B invites his bot into the group.

It should be possible with 6 accounts to invite 12 bots giving you 3 full groups. Currently there is a problem with server disconnecting when more then 4 players / bots in the same zone.

Often I have to warp to a target for which your in a fight straight away so using this.
Rich (BB code):
Sub Main
/target botname1
/delay 1s
/say #bot summon
/target botname2
/delay 1s
/say #bot summon
/endmac
Useful - however if you warp to far it fails
