Hi there fellow Laz players! I am very excited about the new RG build for emulator servers and the fact that CTWN plugins will be "officially" functional over there. Kudos to the devs!

I have received multiple messages in game and also one PM on the forum where folks have downloaded the new RG build and it broke their CTWN plugins and their Kissassist routines.

LINK REMOVED BY REQUEST -> Please download older build here per Sic: https://www.redguides.com/community/resources/very-vanilla-mq-emulated-servers.60/history

Also other reference threads that deserve a read if you haven't seen them:

Also if someone knows of an easier way to "rollback" to an earlier version, please let me know. I don't know everything but do want to be helpful to my Norrath friends! :hfive:

Mq2 files are not compatible with mq. You can't use them.

if folks want the old MQ2 legacy build they can use the history resource on the RG MQ build > here <

Our (RG's) MQ emu rollout leaves some things to be desired with regards to the launcher - cwtn and myself (unrelated to our plugins) tried to fix that as best we could, but limitations and restrictions made it so it is what it is. MQ is the version that will be the only version of MQ we have/distribute via the launcher going forward.

it should have had a way to migrate, unfortunately, it doesn't.
it should have have had a to install in its own directory, unfortunately, it doesn't

and unfortunately, those things didn't happen and a bit too late

we will actually have a new launcher ™️ in the future and some of the pain that we (RG) have getting updates to it done will be remedied

I just use whatever is offered in the download page. Is there any advantage to using newer or older MQ2 systems ?

There are a couple of small, yet important changes with MacroQuest vs the old MQ2 as explained > HERE <

Moving to MacroQuest mental notes:
1. mq2map click is Control+Shift+Click
2. new easyfind self travel is Control+Click (reminder in find window title bar)
3. new easyfind group travel is Control+Shift+Click
4. If you selected a destination in your zone guide and want to activate it you /travelto activate
5. /yes and /no are now aliases
6. your ini configuration files (like for kissassist) now reside in your "Config" folder and not your "Macro" folder
7. if you want the functionality of the MQ2 "MQ2TargetInfo" - They are now in 3 separate plugins: /plugin groupinfo /plugin targetinfo /plugin xtarinfo
