In this thread I will attempt to compile a list of common sense issues / troubleshooting procedures to help you identify and self resolve these common issues.
We both encourage and suggest that every person attempt to do some of these common sense checks first to eliminate support request tickets for common issues. In doing so, you are helping to lessen the load on us, and in the mean time learning as you go.
These will be based upon "common problems" we as devs and moderators come across in our troubleshooting and investigation of issues. Having started my IT carrear well over 25 years ago.. I know the importance of a "common problems database" in allowing users to self diagnose/resolve their issues. Since we don't have that.. this is the next best thing.
I will leave this thread open for people to post to. Useful common problems and procedures to resolve KissAssist issues will be incorporated into the first post of this thread as usefulness grants.

Q: Are you using the latest version of KissAssist?
A: There are several ways to check this:
Run the macro: The version is displayed as a popup on screen and in the MQ2Chat window.
Check your ini file: Your Kissassist_[ToonName].ini has the last version run recorded as KissAssistVer in [General] section.
If you are not using the latest version, download this and run it first.
Your issue may have already been resolved in a version update.
Version updates almost always contain a notation on what we fixed/added/changed in the hosting thread.
We do our best to notate all fixes in releases... and if your specific issue was not shown in the patch notes, there is always a chance it was resolved but not notated.

Q: Are you sure KissAssist is the the cause of your woes?????
A: Sometimes people enable new or activate new features of plugins. These plugins "MAY" interfere with the operation of KissAssist.
Example: I just started using MQ2Melee plugin to control my toon always having self cast and clicky buffs re cast as soon as ther wear off (downshits).
Now I go to use KissAssist and have these same buffs defined in my [BUFFS] section of my toon's ini. Guess what . . . . there will be times when there will be conflicts between
what spell/clicky Mq2Melee is attempting to memorize and cast... and the buffs that KissAssist is attempting to maintain.
Ask yourself the following: Have I enabled any new plugins or plugin features I wasn't running before my issue was noticed???? If so, disable the new plugin/feature, and see if this effects my results.
A: If your issue occurs during normal game play (when not using KissAssist) then you need to eliminate KissAssist as the culprit.

Q: Are you sure you spelled it right???
A: You have no idea how many issues get resolved because we ask for a user's content of their ini file, only to find they misspelled a spell or item name... or fat fingered an option's parameters. In life as well as coding.. SPELLING COUNTS! Check the spelling by cross-referencing the spell name with Allakhazam's Lucy database or Allakhazam. Copy and paste if you have to.
/kisscheck
This command will tell you if you have any misspellings or spells/items you don't have. Always run before reporting a bug.
KissAssist must be running to use this command.
Always refer to the KissAssist User Manual to make sure you are formatting the option correctly in your toon's ini file! Sometimes a simple misconfiguration in the ini can be the entire cause of your issues.

Q: Why is the stock INI for my toon's classs/role not working?
A: Since we have a section in KissAssist normal thread to post/maintain INI settings for stock characters (levels 85 through 100), we have tons of ini's you can reference on "how to" add this buff or dps to my toon's ini based on their examples.
Some of these INI files are posted by users for THEIR specific toons. Some people think they can just copy and paste the content of the posted ini files and use them out of the box.
Sorry ... these are only examples of what other toons are using... they will not work "as is" for your toon. You need to tailor it to use the spells/items/role that is specific to YOUR toon!.
I get PM's on a daily basis that start with "I'm using this level XXX toon's ini from the sight and it won't work...." only to find out they never changed anything to reflect what THEIR specific toon has or uses.. lol

Q: I have another issue with KissAssist!
A: Before posting, try a quick search through the official KissAssist User Manual
