DO i need to open mq2 before eq? or can I open it while eq is already running?

Sorry if this has been brought up elsewhere and i just missed it. I downloaded the attachemnt to this thread and opened the mq2 exe file and it crash ed my eqgame. Is this not working at the moment or am i doing something funky?

Nope, confirmed last night. Only pet my main has is her cleric hammer with 100 hp, so I dueled the alt, then cast my pet on her and set the macro to attack and other skills, and set the macro on the cleric to heal when health was less than 50%.

hmm...I'm an MQ2 noob here...when I type I just use / to start the text...not click. So if I type /warp target, it doesnt type it in my MQ2 window...is this an issue? Normally I have time to click over to the MQ2 box, but on the occasions that I'm getting beat on, I type in the reg chat box...
