eqclient.ini¶
Located in the root everquest folder, eqclient.ini holds global settings for all accounts. Annotations in the following code block are for settings that can't be changed in-game.

- Allows use of the
/systemcommand. Off by default for security. - Processor core available to a specified client. -1 (default) gives access to all cores. The # after ClientCore is for the instance of the game.
- Example: set the second client to only use core 13

Other config files¶
Resources\Memory.ini- Controls graphics memory mode tuning, even in the DX11-era. For details and recommended settings, see: Fanra's Graphics and performance settings guide.
<character>_<server>.ini- This file stores character-specific settings, such as 'Actions' window settings, abilities, blocked buffs, blocked pet buffs, disciplines, hotbar settings, socials, and saved spell sets. It is located in the root EverQuest folder:
C:\EverQuest\<character>_<server>.ini, where<character>represents the character name, and<server>represents the server short name. UI_<character>_<server>.ini- This file stores character-specific User Interface (UI) settings, such as window locations, window fade delay settings, chat channel autojoin settings (including channel names and applicable passwords), etc. It is located in the root EverQuest folder:
C:\EverQuest\UI_<character>_<server>.ini, where<character>represents the character name, and<server>represents the server short name. AT_default_<character>_<server>.ini- This file is used to store character specific in-game audio triggers. When using the in-game Audio Triggers, any custom .wav files should be saved in the
C:\EverQuest\AudioTriggers\sharedfolder. The file is found in the EverQuest\userdata folder:C:\EverQuest\userdata\AT_default_<character>_<server>.ini, where<character>is the character name and<server>is the server short name.
