Thinking about buying a laptop to run a 3rd instance of EQ for Agnarr (two desktops currently).

Newegg has a $189.99 laptop:

  • Intel Celeron N3060 (1.60 GHz)
  • 4 GB Memory 64 GB SSD
  • Intel HD Graphics 400
  • 1366 x 768
  • Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit

A 199.00 laptop:

  • Intel Celeron N3050 (1.60 GHz)
  • 4 GB Memory 64 GB eMMC
  • Intel HD Graphics
  • 1366 x 768
  • Windows 10 Pro

They are both HPs.

A friend told me to make sure there is enough HD space as they went with 32Gig drive and run out of room on the drive.

That enough - or would I need to go a step higher?

providing you have enough hd space ... a instance of eq will take up about 1 gb of memory .... that leave 2+ bg for the os and other stuff to run. T he only issues i can see is if the intel hd graphics might have a problem with running 3d programs ... i know some earlier versions will not run eq.

What others said, you could probably run 3-4 instances of EQ on those laptops.

The only resource that EQ is hungry for is RAM, 500MB-1GB per instance. CPU/GPU demands are minimal pretty much anything made in the last ten years will run EQ with properly optimized settings.

Granted those are not very fast laptops but perfectly fine for EQ.
