Hi y'all,
Wow! I don't understand 98% of what is on this forum. Which is daunting enough, but I also notice that maybe ignorant questions (such as this one) maybe aren't tolerated so well? /Biting the bullet ---

I died in the water once, and it caught me by such surprise that I didnt really pay attention to where it happened, I was more worried about trying to get away. When that didn't happen, and I went looking for my body, I was disappointed because I had no idea where it was, and I couldnt very well go searching the waters with all the baddies in there waiting for me, now could I? I called on a friend, who found it almost the second he came into the zone. He said he had a map that showed where everything in the zone was located and I was later told by someone else that he could have gotten in trouble for it. Which led me to consider where he could have gotten such a cool little exploit thingy, and that's how I wound up here. :p

Anyone happen to have one of these that all I'd have to do is basically plug-n-play? I never realized all this stuff was even possible. You people must make tons of money in real life!

Yes you can get a map like that

When you die in WoW, you'll notice a new "arrow" appear on the edge of the MiniMap (http://www.xenoveritas.org/wow/mods/simpleinv/shot_minimap.png) in the game. If you move your mouse to hover over these arrows an info box will pop-up telling you what the arrow is pointing at.
One of these arrows will be pointing to your body so walk toward that arrow until you get a "tombstone" on the screen which shows where your body is. Head toward the tombstone until you have the option to ressurect.
Also note that pressing "M" in the game brings up the Zone Map which also has your body (tombstone) on it.

The Map of which you speak that shows "everything" is "KAM" or "Kick Ass Map" as its full name:-

NOTE: KAM is fully bannable and once your account is banned it's very unlikely you'll get it back so only use this if you're ok with never using any of your characters on your account again *if* Blizzard ban you...

For WoW you got your answer, for Everquest there is a "plug-n-play" type map available, unsure of other game formats.
