Question - Verified email with EQ (1 Viewer)

I made 6 new accounts over the last month. When entering the email the tool tip said you can change your email anytime by logging into your account. I made up the emails with bs address. I can't change the emails now until I verify the original email. I decided to go out and try to create them. Problem is I made them in this format 68456778163@yahoo. Yahoo requires a letter in the account. Now I have no way to verify my email.
Question is this going to become a problem down the road?

you'd have to ask dbg

but yeah, sounds like it

I was worried about that, I don't want dbg in my business.
It will be an issue. Because they, at some point, will need you to respond to that email you made up. And there is usually an email sent out when you created the accounts and you have not gotten that either.

Edit: Yep, like you just posted you cannot do anything with fake email.

You can petition to them and explain you were worried about them having your info and now realize you screwed yourself. And ask them to change it for you to a valid email. You will need to make a new account with legit email in it.

Here is what I do when creating accounts. I use my one email that works with EQ (for some reason making a new email might not always work)

I make a burner email at Proton. This is a friendly email service that is very easy to make email on but for some reason EQ will not verify Proton first time I use it.

Then, I log into the EQ account, verify that email which works because it is a valid email I already have used for EQ and change the email to the Proton email.

You have to have valid emails because they send you confirmation.

I am sure there are email services that you can create new emails with that will go thru with EQ right away. But this is one method that worked every time for me.

I have no problem with DB having that little bit of info or my cell number. After all Wells Fargo and many other HUGE companies have far more info than that and have screwed over customers far more than DB could ever dream of.

I really do not understand the concept of using "fake" e-mails when you can make real ones for free on services like google. All this is doing is creating a hassle for the account holder (as OP is having now). I would argue that using fake e-mail addresses can be problematic because I am sure their (DBG) system provides feedback when an automated e-mail bounces back with errors because the e-mail doesn't technically "exist". If they monitor that?? (*shrug*) So, really, you are potentially calling attention to yourself and if your aim is to avoid attention, this doesn't feel like the best choice to make. I mean, what are you going to say if you contact DBG and say "Uh, I can't confirm my e-mail address because it's fake. Why did I use a fake e-mail?...Because I don't' understand how the interwebz work?" Geez....

Using different e-mails is tin-foil hat at it's best. Somehow people think using separate e-mails (or fake) somehow insulates your accounts from being associated with each other in the event of suspensions or bans. I highly doubt this is the way DBG associates accounts (IP or Mac addresses anyone?). Myself along with others just use a singular email account without issues over many accounts. Just my 2 cents.

Try DuckDuckGo.com and setup addresses that forward to your normal/main email. They also remove trackers/other nasties before forwarding to you.

Perhaps that will help others.

I no longer offer that service so I am good with my basic email, I have nothing to hide from DBG, they can also have my cell phone number.

Although I did use Duckduckgo back in the 90's cause the job I had then required we become familiar with internet trends and work with them.

You can make one email account and put as many DBG accounts on it as you want, I made 6 to practice on test server and played for a few days then got disconnected, and was forced to verify my email before I could log in again.
