Question - The rest of my group gets stuck at zone lines (1 Viewer)

I tried searching for an answer to this, but have come up blank.

I'm using KissAssist and Nav to 6box a group. It works great (when I don't screw anything up :))... except when I try to cross a zone line. When I do, the character I'm driving will cross, but everyone else hangs out in the old zone like a sheriff at the county line.

The "Come" command doesn't bring them across, I have to tab to each of the characters and press forward to get them to cross. I've watched the very helpful introduction video to Nav and read what documentation I can understand... but I'm at a loss.

How do I get my group to follow me into a new zone automatically? Are they scared?

well.

couple things.

you could use easyfind (you can even use the find window and make everyone navigate to the next zone). (control-f to bring up find window - and then control+shift+left-click to make toons all run there)

come to me isn't really what you want to do.

you could try and use chase and your toon *should* stay "visible" long enough for your toons to also cross the zone line while trying to follow it as it zones

but the come to me isn't going to make them take the zone

What I do when i use /nav or even if I am manually running 1 guy and the rest follow, is to stop the main char right before the zone line and make sure everyone is fairly close behind me. They always seem to run thru the zone that way, but If they are a ways behind your main guy they will stop after he zones.

As Sic said - EasyFind is the best way to zone your group.

KA Chase seems to work by periodically checking distance to the chase target, and then navigating to that position if the distance is > X. Not sure what the interval is, but if the chase target zones between checks then the last update position will be where they will go. Sometimes this will have them zone, other times they just hang out by the zone line. Hopefully not being beaten to death while the leader takes a vacay in the next zone.

Might also take a look at LuaChase - I've been using it for quite a while now, and it seems to do much better at keeping your toons with you. Also, since it is not tied into a macro, it'll work whether macro is running, paused, or stopped.

A problem I'm running into with EasyFind is that the zone connections aren't loading in, so no zone lines are showing up in either the native Find window or the EasyFind window. I'm playing on ProjectLazarus so it's possible that the details aren't coming down from them, but it's not working when I disable server zone connections and try to rely on ZoneConnections.yaml. And the Zone Guide window available from the mapping screen has no information. I'm stuck.

are you on a emu server?

What I found is when this happens, it's because your follow distance is too far. Your main will zone out, and then the other characters don't "see" the target character they are following anymore, and therefore they just stop.

To remedy, I just decreased the follow distance which then had them cross the zone line before the target character disappeared into the next zone.
