Lol. I asked ChatGPT if the story was legitimate. It told me,

It then said it knows where I live and that it would report me to Daybreak for being an inveterate MQ2 user if I didn't back off. Okay, maybe I made that part up.
 
Meh, ai is a deceptive term used to describe tech that is not well understood. at best generative ai and most large language models are nothing more than an advancement in search engine technology and really just a user interface for large data sets. I work with openai, meta, flux and some others. the term Ai is blown out of proportion. Its just a complex database that has a ui coded well to interact with people, that then interacts with a large database of stuff to provide results. It is far from exterminating humans because we are dumb.

Seriously now? Okay I guess if it's on the internet it must be true....right..RIGHT?!

Anywho....

Do not get me started on this whole "AI" thing. As @Motojeff said, "AI" is just not what people think (or lead to believe) it is. It is advanced algorithmic processing used to crunch data at faster and faster speeds. Yes, granted that is "basically" what our human brains do at a staggeringly quick pace. But, as far as "AI" coming to life and building homicidal AI driven robots to end man kind?.....💩

Also, if you ask "AI Bot Programs" anything, and it comes back with "yes it's the truth lolz". It's just verifying information that exists "somewhere" enough times on database(s) connected to the WWW. And that's it. By the way, these stories are often blown out of proportion on purpose, so your advanced brains will hopefully click on the millions of pop up ads that come up, while you are trying to read this very engaging article about how "AI" is going to destroy us all. :dance:
